Social community networks is becoming a new recruitment service on the Internet. Employers seek profiles of new graduates over these networks. According to US NACE, 16 percent of  employers use social network services in their recruitment process.

Seeking profiles of candidates on those networks may give a lot of meaningful information about those guys. Employers were previously using those sites to check profiles, but they are now advertising on those sites for a possible position.

Now on, what's on your Facebook page? So, how do you want to be portrayed in the eyes of possible future employers? It's geting more popular and important thing to take into account.

From now on, I will open a new section in my weblog. I will try to interview with the industry experts and talk about their visions and experiences. In my first interview, I have talked with Dr. Clark Quinn, the author of Engaging Learning: Designing e-Learning Simulation Games.

1. Application Service Providers offer more quick start options. Governments, companies, and learning institutions that don't want to reinvent the wheel can lease or purchase turnkey e-learning systems. As e-learning processes become more standardized, clients benefit from shared research and development expenses, lower costs, and fast deployment. Even organizations on low budgets can implement open source e-learning platforms like Moodle on third party servers in a matter of hours.

Adobe Flex benim Flash çalışırken hayal ettiğim şeyleri başarmaya devam ediyor. Java kadar güçlü ve Flash kadar esnek uygulamalar için oldukça ideal bir evlilik gibi görünen Java+Flex birlikteliği ileride çokca adından söz ettirecek gibi.

Adobe 'un LiveCycle ES ürünü ise bu birlikteliğin sosu olsa gerek. Bir süredir Flex ile database bağlantısı kurmak için uygun platformaları araştırıyordum. Flex/C#/WebORB üçlüsünü denedim. Oldukça keyifli sonuçlar da aldım. Ancak ben yine de Flex/Java/LCDS ES üçlüsünü tek geçiyorum.

LCDS'in developer sürümünü Adobe'un resmi sitesinden çekebilirsiniz. Burada küçük bir not vermek istiyorum: kuracağınız sürümle gelen Jrun4 eski bir java sürümü kullanabiliyor. Projelerinizi test ederken Connection Failed diye bir hata ile karşılaşabilirsiniz. Bunu jrun jvm.config dosyasında yapacağınız basit bir değişiklikle düzenleyebilir ve uygulama geliştirebilirsiniz.
